Not my picture but maybe my picture of the day. My brother and sister-in-law's new baby, Jonah, arrived March 29, 2008 weighing 8 lbs, 3 ozs., and was 3 weeks premature.

Payne and Mason raking dirt--I have no idea why but that is a boy's imagination at work.

Playing tea party with Avery, Aubree and Jamie.

March 20, 2008.

Sorry, no picture today. I dropped off Avery at the sitters for the big Easter party, went to the bank, went to target so Payne could buy the Lego helicopter he wanted yesterday but did not have his money, bought a dining set at World Market (being delivered next Monday), did some serious house cleaning (like you really want to see a picture of that), went grocery shopping, fixed dinner, finishing the last of 6 loads of laundry and now posting. So Regina knows what I've been doing today (since I know she checks here daily for her Krishna fix), I had to post for ya. I did learn that yes, you too, can feel like a real, hard-working housekeeper by following these simple steps: (1) put on workout clothes, (2) get your ipod going and crank the latino Ricky Martin music up loud enough to drown the sound of the vacuum or any 6 year old in the house yelling he is bored, (3) sweat your ass off, and (4) stand back and look what a great job you've done till the owners come home and, true to fashion, destroy the house like mini-tornados. I will tell ya that as much as I enjoyed having housekeepers over the last 6 years, they don't come close to cleaning as good as I do. I've never had a housekeeper clean ceiling fans, clean all the groves on the panel doors, clean the dust on baseboards, move furniture to vacuum the dust that collects under couches, vacuum the crap and crumbs that gets lodges between couch cushions (kid gunk) and vacuum the corners or the little sliver of area where the baseboards meet the hard floor or carpet, ya know, that space the vacuum cannot reach. Yeah, that's my kinda cleaning. Granted I only go this nuts every couple weeks but it is so nice to know its clean.

Hope everyone has a great Easter.
Haute couture easter eggs. Nothing like a little bling to liven up boring hard boiled eggs.

Sea World. No pictures of Shamu because Richard had the camera and I was sitting down in the stands with the kids. In the picture below with the kids getting splashed, Payne is almost completely covered in splash, wearing a blue/white striped shirt. This was one of his favorite parts. Avery loved the penguins.

Nest from a tree we cut down tonite.

Tuesday, March 11, 2008

Finally, a sunny day to play outside.

Here is Payne with his new webkinz, Trotty, which he won for turning in 112 box tops for education. He was the top collector from 1st grade. Notice the severly chapped lips. Hopefully I can heal this by sneaking some ointment on his face tonite.

Horse back riding, the safe way.

Saturday, March 8, 2008

Sorry, folks, no picture today. We took the kids to the park to enjoy the beautiful day, and forgot my camera. I did try to take pictures with my camera phone but, you know me, I'm too cheap to pay for the service to email the pictures and have not figured out how to get them off the phone otherwise.

Grandma's azelias--for Joe. I got over there a little late, and a couple strong wind storms later, and they were not nearly as pretty as they were Monday. Sorry.

Okay, girlfriends, here is one of the fun parts of not working. Today we joined the storytime at a local church (name withheld) and after storytime, there was a craft which Avery loved then a tea party. Oh, yeah, Avery was ALL over this. You know we've had tons of practice with tea time in the tub and at the pool with water or with daddy with pretend tea but this was the real deal! We joined Miss. E and her mommy for tea and snacks. Fun was had by all.

Where's the fire??? I looked out of Avery's window and saw the fire truck in front of our house. Scared the crap outa me. Turns out the firemen were doing rounds checking the fire hydrants.

Playing with balloons! We were making fun of Avery and rubbing the balloon on her hair to make it stand up then used hairspray to make it stay.

Reading!

Did ya here the one about..........

Once upon a time there was a beautiful girl named Snow White. One day Snow White was driving her crappy, two wheel drive plastic car and got it stuck on the concrete. Then along came a handsome lasso-weilding cowboy to pull her to safety. They lived ever after, not happily all the time, but sometimes.......
